F = Free

Hey, Hey!!

I know, I know. The last two books I blogged about could have been also categorized as free. But this one was not fitting into any of the other categories and I just had to read it!! This one is classified as free because this was the second book that my uncle got me for Christmas, seeing a trend? Lol. A lot of the time when people ask me what I want for Christmas, Birthday, or other event they preface with "Other than books!!" I am definitely guilty for having an obsession with books. I can never have enough and I am always finding more to read. (To the dismay of my husband who sees books stacked all over the place. He is always saying that I am going to have to stop, but I never will!)

What Alice Forgot is a very real book. It discusses things that pretty much everyone goes through. With a twist. One day Alice wakes up on the floor of a gym, not knowing where she is or what year it is. All she can remember is the events from 10 years ago. She does not remember her children being born or that she is getting a divorce. She increasingly becomes appalled at the woman she has become. She does not recognize anything about her life or the things that she is supposed to be doing. The reader follows along as Alice tries to put her life back together.

I thought this book was a fun read. It made me think how I would feel if one day I woke up not remembering what happened in the last few years. Would I forget that I was married? Would I forget that I am a teacher? Crazy! Also, as I was reading I began to feel for Alice. Every time she turned around she finds something else that she had forgotten or something that she was supposed to be doing that she had no idea about. I love this author and this is the second book by her that I have read. I cannot wait until I have the chance to read her other book!

Side note, Alice's favorite drink is a Flat White, so as soon as I could I went out and got one for myself! I admit, it was pretty good!

Happy Reading!!
