What Gave Me the Idea

I was doing my cuddled up under the electric blanket nightly reading before bed time and somehow stumbled on to this Ted Talk.  Well, now I remember I was playing with my phone and I only HEARD I didn't SEE the talk.  But, I was intrigued by it.  Furthermore, I got to thinking that it would be fun to start a Reading Challenge with my daughters.  They are both big readers, like me! Then, I also told my friend Judy.  (So, she may drop by with a guest entry now and then.) I started researching and went on Pinterest and saw several different challenges.  I couldn't wait to tell the girls.  I texted Ruthi right then and asked if she was interested --- She replied SURE! I knew Naomi would be all over it.  As luck would have it, 1/2 Price Books had a sale and on top of that, Santa gave us, all three gift cards. I started researching and filling in my categories.  Of course those could change over time, but right now I have all but a couple of my challenge books chosen.  I am now reading my Q book. It has a question in the title but there is no question mark, which has kind of concerned me as I don't want to cheat.  Naomi, my BFF, has assured me that is definitely a question. So, I'm going with that.  I'm soooo excited and KNOW that this is going to be a fun adventure through the world of books and reading!! With my girls and anyone else who wants to join!

Our First Challenge

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to let you know about the current challenge that my mom, my sister, and I are working on right now. As you will learn from my mom's first post, the challenges, and this blog were her idea. My little sister and I excitedly jumped to the occasion. This alphabet challenge is the one that we decided to work on first.
